Winter Park citizens take their elections seriously and several of us send out letters and emails claiming to understand the nature and positions of the candidates, and make recommendations. How do you know any of these communications have any elements of truth?
The answer involves doing the work necessary to corroborate evidence and getting input from others who have also done their homework, looking for consistency of fact and viewpoint.
Shortly after I published my recommendations for the upcoming March 8 election the Orlando Sentinel also endorsed Sarah Sprinkel and Steve Leary. For those looking to decide on your vote I highly recommend reading both my recommendations and the Orlando Sentinel endorsements.
While I am on the subject of consistency I thought the voters should read my letter to Bonnie Jackson and then read this letter from Jamie Conglose. Jamie has consulted with leaders of Fortune 100 and 500 companies in the field of organizational development and leadership effectiveness for the past 25 years. Check her out here.
Jamie happened to attend the meeting at Fleet Peeples Park on November 6, 2010 at which city commission candidate Bonnie Jackson claimed she was assaulted.
Click here for Jamie’s thoughts on Bonnie Jackson’s behavior and compare it to what I have documented.

Thanks Pete for revealing the dark belly of candidate Bonnie Jackson.
City hall has reached an all time low. I am deeply saddened to read those police reports and the time and effort required by our police officers, the State Attorney’s office and citizens who have suffered under Bonnie Jackson’s reign of intolerance.
More troubling has been the code of silence by her friends on the city commission.
It’s become very ugly and I walk around constantly scratching my head wondering what kind of person would relentlessly pursue a negative crusade to harm dog owners. We are bigger than this.
This black cloud collectively lowers our quality of life and I think we can all agree we need a good dose of peace and quiet…..
