Carolyn Cooper Supports MORE Density!

For those aroused by the constant political harping of Commissioner Carolyn Cooper on the subject of Winter Park development and density, please know the following.

Carolyn Cooper VOTED TO APPROVE the three story 86,600 square foot CNL office development at Denning and Morse Blvd. on June 11, 2012. (see page 15)

Carolyn Cooper VOTED TO APPROVE the four story 105 unit senior apartment development at Denning and Canton on December 10, 2012. (see pages 13-14)

Carolyn Cooper VOTED TO APPROVE the 35,500 retail/restaurant (Trader Joes/Shake Shack) development on 17/92 at Morse Blvd. on February 25, 2013. (see pages 8-9)

Carolyn Cooper VOTED TO APPROVE the four story 206 unit residential development at Denning and Canton on March 25, 2013. (see page 7)

Carolyn Cooper VOTED TO APPROVE the 1.8 million square foot Ravaudage development at 17/92 and Lee Rd on both November 12, 2012 (annexation, page 10) and March 25, 2013 (CDD, pages 11 and 12).

Carolyn Cooper VOTED TO APPROVE the 85,000 square foot UP Fieldgate/Whole Foods development on 11 acres at 17/92 and Lee Rd. (see pages 7 and 8)

In fact, all five Winter Park City Commissioners approved each of these projects. To understand why please read this primer on Winter Park development.

Don’t the “no density” folks deserve an explanation from their champion, Ms. Cooper?

Regards, Pete Weldon
